Meet the Team

Dee Vaughn – Development Team

Mr. Vaughn served on the National Corn Growers Association Board of Directors from 1995 to 1998 and again from 2000 to 2005. He served as President of the NCGA from 2003 to 2004. During his tenure with the NCGA, he worked directly with the House and Senate Agriculture Committees and various other committees of the Congress, the White House and other government agencies. He has also worked with many Fortune 500 companies, trade groups and associations representing diverse interests. As President of the NCGA, Mr. Vaughn worked on many issues including global trade, farm and rural policy, bio-technology, transportation, research and business development, and energy and ethanol. The Energy Policy Act of 2005 was the primary legislative project during his term.

Mr. Vaughn has substantial experience managing large and diversified agricultural operations as a leader of national farm organizations. His skills and national network of contacts, along with his knowledge of both the biofuels and agricultural industries, provide a solid background for his role in Rawhide.

Mr. Vaughn was also a founding board member, and remains on the board, of what became the Corn Producers Association of Texas. He serves on the Texas Corn Producers Board, a state authorized promotion board. He serves on the biofuels committee of the Texas Renewable Energy Industries Association and on the renewable energy committee for the Texas State Office of Rural Community Affairs. He serves on the Moore County Agricultural Committee and the Texas A&M CREET (Cooperative Research, Extension, Experiment, and Teach) Advisory Committee. He has served on the Monsanto Grower Advisory Council and the Texas A&M T-CARET (Texas Council on Agricultural Research, Extension and Teaching) Committee.
